Of all the shots that Fred took last year, this Locke shootout goal was my favorite because I remember watching the play as if it were in slow motion.
I could not believe that shot went in the net and then when Fred showed me the series, it was great to re-live it again.
I know this is the lower seed here, but I voted because of how perfectly Fred captured this moment.
And now, looking back on the win, it may very well have clinched their biggest regular season win of 2008-09.
Yeah, right on!
Yep, that's definitely a goal I remember distinctly. A big one for sure. Made Manny look silly.
But man, that was a magical night for Dimples and it was awesome to be a part of that. Moments like that are why minor hockey is so fantastic to me. A young guy getting his chance to show his stuff, be The Man, on his 23rd birthday. And he does it, big time. It was a "heart" moment that's bigger than the game.
Not a tough call on this one for me, but both shots are equally worthy in the final accounting.
I like the Locke goal. To me that was my favorite goal of the year. Made Manny look silly.
